You will be registering with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) through the National Futures Association (NFA) at www.nfa.futures.org. On the NFA homepage, click on "Registration" at the top left corner, then click on Futures Commission Merchant (FCM). On this FCM registration page, you will see the full list of registration requirements. The process requires completing Form 7-R, compliance requirements, application fees, and NFA membership dues. For Principals and Association Persons (APs) of the FCM, Form 8-R, fingerprinting, proficiency exams, and application fees are required.
